13 Red Media, Ltd, parent company to Helix Studios, is proud to announce the release of Twink, the second book in the Rise Up series. Kyle Ross, award-winning Helix exclusive inspired the story line of the novel.
In Twink, Kyle Ross’ mother moves him and his brothers from a swanky Dallas suburb to a rural Tennessee town, and Kyle thinks his life is over. Not only does he find it difficult to fit in, Kyle isn’t sure he wants to. Grappling with his sexuality while trying to cope with the effects of his mother’s mid-life crisis has him confused, exhausted, and looking for an escape. Always a hustler, Kyle distracts himself with a business venture that inevitably leads to serious issues of its own. As he learns to accept that change is a part of the natural cycle of life and that all he has control over is the person he is, Kyle taps into a power he never knew he had.
The series is written by Taylor Saracen with story line input provided by exclusive Helix models. These novels will be released in print as well as digital platforms. Participating models will share in revenue from novel sales.
Of the novel, Ross said, “I hope fans can feel a personal connection with me and that it serves a positive influence on their lives. When appearing in media, I demonstrate the perks of being a gay porn star living in America. I present a positive image and emit good vibes because I am an entertainer, not a sob story. In the book, we didn’t keep anything a secret and the situations aren’t sugar-coated. I opened up my heart to Taylor she included all the dirty details. The book is a coming-of-age story about my teenage years and the struggle to find acceptance by my family, community and self. Perhaps some fans can relate to my hardships and feel like what they may be going through is completely normal.”
Ross and Saracen will visit select cities for signings.
